    Nic Alexander

    PRESIDENT

"I was born and raised in Washington to a family that instilled in me a deep connection to the outdoors. My love of nature was taught by the generations of family that came before me and have inspired me to think about my legacy as a Father.

Reel Recreation is a community resource that focuses beyond the promotion and involvement of today’s youth in outdoor activities. Our measure of success will be the legacy of stewardship towards outdoor recreation that Reel Rec creates."

    Rich Coffey

    VICE PRESIDENT

"I have had the privilege and opportunity to experience the outdoors in a number of western regions including Lake Almanor, CA to Fallon, NV. Finally landing in the Coulee. Exploring the different regions inspired my love for the outdoors.

Reel Recretion is important because we are a small community and our youth need the opportunity to experience outdoor recreation. "

    Rachelle Baughman

    SECRETARY

"Born and raised in Seattle, Washington my love for the outdoors never thrived. I knew Coulee was my forever home. Moving to the Coulee has given me the opportunity to build a family around outdoor recreation.

Reel Rec is a great opportunity to extend my love for the outdoors beyond my family. Providing resources for youth to have experiences they might not get otherwise."

    Nikki Tonasket

    TREASURER

Growing up surrounded by the picturesque scenery of north Idaho inspired my love of all things outdoors. Countless days of backpacking, hunting, and fishing shaped my youth. I moved to the Coulee a decade ago and instantly fell for the beauty of the area and all of the outdoor recreation opportunities.

Reel Rec is such an amazing opportunity to instill appreciation for the outdoors in kiddos that will last a lifetime and inspire a legacy of continued engagement in outdoor recreation.

"I spent my childhood fishing, hunting, and recreating in central Washington with my family. In 2004 I made this area my home, where I live with my wife, Danielle, and our two young sons. I live to share my passion for the outdoors with my children and the areas youth. Reel Rec is the perfect vessel for spreading knowledge to our younger generations. "

"A fluke is one of the most common fish in the sea. So if you go fishing for a fluke, chances are..you might just catch one." - Kevin Malone

"Born and raised in the Inland Northwest, I've enjoyed all types of outdoor recreation for as long as I can remember.  This love of the outdoors was further amplified by the 3 years my wife and I spent living in Alaska and exploring The Last Frontier.  We moved to the Coulee Area a decade ago and fell in love with the outdoor offerings here.

Now, through Reel Rec, it's our turn to pass along this love to the next generation as we create local opportunities and help preserve an outdoor legacy!"

    Brian Walters

    PRO STAFF

"At a young age I wanted to fish with my dad. The deal was I had to be able to cast across the street then I could go fishing. So at 2yo, I was casting across the street. My love has never faded. I expanded my outdoor activities to hunting, camping and hiking. Over the years I have taught my sons how to respect and love the outdoors.

I have helped with several youth opportunities in fishing and want to continue showing todays youth how amazing it is and the blessing it is in our local area."

  • Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife is dedicated to preserving, protecting, and perpetuating the state’s fish, wildlife, and ecosystems while providing sustainable fish and wildlife recreational and commercial opportunities.

Headquartered in Olympia, the department maintains six regional offices and manages dozens of wildlife areas and hundreds of water access areas around the state, offering fishing, hunting, wildlife viewing, and other recreational opportunities for the residents of Washington.

  • Colville Tribes

Tribal Parks & Recreational activities is the cultural and traditional sensitive areas that need to be preserved as well as protected. These examples and other wildlife-management techniques can be useful from a recreation perspective if they are coordinated with the appropriate staff. In fairness, recreation developments created in a vacuum can harm wildlife management. Positive results will only occur if all-natural resource management works together in their plans.
